    Revolutionary Vocabulary Teaching
Help students memorize vocabulary with ease

Remember the days when memorizing vocabulary was a chore, where memorizing and forgetting seem like a never-ending cycle? Vocabulary building seems to be one of the most troublesome skills in learning English, ranks right up there with grammar. How to memorize vocabulary with ease and build up vocabulary most definitely depend on the teacher.

What is vocabulary? What does it mean to have taught or learned a vocabulary? How can we memorize and never forget again? The “Introduction” chapter in this book tells the roots of vocabulary and the process of learning. Theories and practices are carried out in chapter 3, “Teaching Procedures” including warm-up activities, presentation, practice, and production. In the section of “production,” games for different ages and levels of difficulty are incorporated in vocabulary teaching.

Moreover, teachers can use different methods of evaluation, also included in this book, to see how well the students are doing, and for evaluating their own teaching and future teaching strategy. Examples of lesson plans for different levels of difficulty are also presented for the teachers to foresee situations that may happen in the classrooms. “Total Breakthrough—Practical Vocabulary Learning” help students use vocabulary they have learned. Vocabulary Teaching Websites, Vocabulary Teaching FAQs, Frequently Used List of Vocabulary, and Printable Assessments are included in the appendix section at the end of the book.

Words cannot be effectively internalized when it is memorized. It is in using a word that we make it part of our everyday vocabulary. This book will help teachers equip their students with the arsenal they need to be successful English speakers. It combines theory and practice and gives teachers a comprehensive insight into the teaching of vocabulary.
