Communicate thoroughly with your native-English-speaking teachers

Co-authored by native-English-speakers and Taiwanese teachers, this book focuses on the common co-teaching between native-English-speaking and native-Chinese-speaking teachers of English to children and adolescents in Taiwan. This phenomenon came from necessity but its success depends on the communication between the co-teachers.

How can teachers of different nationality communicate smoothly? This book provides with a few principles, including the importance of communication, attitudes and methods. Through vivid examples, describe in detail specific points and taboos. The book also lists common problems between co-teachers of all levels and provides with solutions and suggestions.

This book also provide with results of survey and questionnaires done by teachers of after-school programs, preschools, and managers of such programs. Experiences of these individuals shared so that readers can look at the problems from different points of view. Useful language strategies for different situations are provided to help non-native-English speakers better their speaking skills so that they can communicate with confidence.

“English Co-Teaching” is the first reference book to look into English co-teaching. The book was written in both English and Chinese, and is useful to not only native-English-speaking and native-Chinese-speaking teachers and the managers and is key to success in English co-teaching.
