Complete Set for Talent Shows and Drama Competitions,
Including Script, Props, Music

Does it often take you a lot of time to find the perfect script or adapt one that fits your class? Once you do, it still takes a lot of time to create the props, find the songs and sound effects, and many other small details. “Joy’s Broadway” series solves it all, with complete set of everything needed to put on a play.

“Joy’s Broadway” series comes in 3 sets, with 6 plays in each set. Using theories of second language acquisition, adapting stories students have heard of, allowing for old experiences to be used again, students can effectively learn English. Scripts adapted from well-known children’s stories have been re-written with the 2000 commonly used English words and presented in 6 different grammar levels for students of all levels.

6 large story posters come with each set of plays. On one side is a big background picture of the story and introduces the characters in each play. Back of the poster includes important vocabulary, outline of the play, and questions and answers. Using the clues on the back of the poster, teachers can easily bring out the key points and use in the classroom selectively to fit the needs of different students. The short plays can also be used in the classroom to add variety and increase reading skills.

An English CD that includes the complete script comes each book and gives students a perfect example to practice listening and pronunciation. It also includes sound effects necessary to act out the play on stage. Theories of children’s drama, key notes in teaching guides, assessment, vocabulary with explanation and K.K.phonics, and character charts are all included to help teachers and students use the scripts easily.
